"Today A Reader, Tomorrow A Leader"

    Hours of Operation
    7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The school library media program functions as a vital part of the school program, and the basic purpose of the media program is identical to the basic purpose of the school it serves.  The media program is an integral service agency of the school community.

The vision of the Union Springs Elementary Library Media Program is to support the teachers and students of Union Springs Elementary.  The media specialist will ensure that all students, teachers, and staff are effective users of all resources and technology, as well as being 21st Century Learners.

Our library media center has over 5000 books, including eBooks within its collection.  It is accredited by AdvancED.  The reference collection consists of almanacs, atlases, encyclopedias, and dictionaries. There are periodicals for everyone to read while in the library media center.  A mini-computer lab with internet access is located in our library media center. At the start of the pandemic, a 1:1 laptop program was adopted to provide each student and teacher with access to his or her own laptop computer in a wireless environment, allowing students equitable access to technology inside and outside the school environment.
