Attendance
Bullock County Schools Attendance Statement
All students enrolled in Bullock County Schools are required to attend school regularly in accordance with Alabama's Compulsory Attendance Laws. Students must be enrolled and attend school in the zone where their parents or legal guardians reside. Daily attendance is essential for academic success. Consistent and on-time attendance not only supports student learning but also fosters responsibility, self-discipline, and a positive school experience. Every day a student is present is an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Bullock County Schools is committed to promoting strong attendance habits and will actively engage families, school staff, and community partners to ensure all students have the support they need to attend school every day, on time, and ready to learn.
Parental Responsibility for Student Attendance and Behavior
The Board's policy is to comply with Act g3-67 as enacted by the Alabama Legislature. Parents, guardians, or those responsible for children must ensure their children enroll, attend school, and behave properly according to the Board's attendance policy on school behavior. Failure to do so by parents, guardians, or others in charge is considered a crime.
